END OF DAYS: OF MADNESS, MUSLIMS, AND MILLENIALISM

More frightening facts have come to my attention. Apparently, the religion of Islam also has a version of the End Times aka the Rapture.

From here:

“The man in charge of hoodwinking the Western powers about Iran's now 18-year-old secret nuclear program believes the apocalypse will happen in his own lifetime. He'll be 50 in October.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Shi'ite creed has convinced him lesser mortals can not only influence but also hasten the awaited return of the 12th Imam, known as the Mahdi. Iran's dominant "Twelver" sect holds this will be Muhammad ibn Hasan, the righteous descendant of the Prophet Muhammad. He is said to have gone into "occlusion" in the 9th century, at age 5. His return will be preceded by cosmic chaos, war, bloodshed and pestilence. After this cataclysmic confrontation between the forces of good and evil, the Mahdi will lead the world to an era of universal peace. "The ultimate promise of all Divine religions," says Ahmadinejad "will be fulfilled with the emergence of a perfect human being [the 12th Imam], who is heir to all prophets. He will lead the world to justice and absolute peace. Oh mighty Lord, I pray to you to hasten the emergence of your last repository, the promised one." He reckons the return of the Imam, AWOL for 11 centuries, is only two years away.

And here:

“Ahmadinejad, who is defiantly pursuing a nuclear option, has suggested that the elimination of Israel would herald the return of a ninth-century Muslim cleric known as the Mahdi, the 12th Imam. He hopes to welcome that messiah to Tehran within two years.
Conversely, some Jewish groups in Jerusalem hope to clear the path for their own messiah by rebuilding a temple on a site now occupied by one of Islam's holiest shrines. Artisans have re-created priestly robes of white linen, gem-studded breastplates, silver trumpets and solid-gold menorahs to be used in the Holy Temple — along with two 6½-ton marble cornerstones for the building's foundation.”

So here’s the short version of their eschatology:Isa (Jesus) will return, defeat al-Dajjal (read: Old Scratch), kill all pigs, break all crosses, and be buried next to Muhammed (peanut butter and jelly be upon his name). There will be a bodily resurrection (us, not him: he’s supposed to be in suspended animation, much like H.G Wells’ When the Sleeper Wakes), all non-Islamic countries will be destroyed, the signs enumerated are as follows:Major and minor signs will reveal that the end times have arrived (Sura 21:96, 27:82, 43:61)
Major Signs:

1. Gross materialism
2. Women outnumber men (how I wish this one would come to pass!)
3. Muslims defeat Jews in battle; Muslims and Christians battle unbelievers together, then Muslims defeat Christians in battle.

Minor Signs:
1. Increase in bloodshed and war
2. Contraction of time
3. Religious knowledge decreases
4. Prevalence of the ungodly

There is an Islam version of Purgatory, called Barzakh.
Hell is a lake of fire where non-Muslims/infidels live in torment.
Sura 4:56 "Some of them believe on the prophet [Mohammad] and some turn aside from him: - the flame of hell is their sufficing punishment"
Islam teaches that there are 8 levels of torment.
Sura 14:50 "And thou shalt see the wicked on that day linked together in chains - their garments of pitch, and fire shall enwrap their faces - that God may reward every soul as it deserveth;"
Hell is eternal: Sura 74:21 "And who shall teach thee what Hell-fire is? It leaveth nought, it spareth nought, blackening the skin.”

And yes, Judaism has it’s own version of the End of Times. I do not know if any of the members of the Knesset are adherents of this madness. Note that the source cited above is an xtian minstry, and therefore is just a tad…biased.

In short, madmen surround us. Bedlam, the order of the day, cognitive dissonance is that bell that tolls for us all. Wild visionaries with images of blood and death, to hasten their perceived ends, mount their horses and ride to Megiddo, lusting for an afterlife that will never be, trampling the innocent beneath the hooves of their charges, all for a stretch of land essentially worthless in all ways except symbolically, for a deity that never was nor ever will be.

Let us hope that the species survives.

“I do not seek to destroy theology. I seek to prevent theology from destroying this world." - Ingersoll.

Till the next post, then.

The end time crazies around the world are very discomforting and disturbing.

I like this statement it goes with my master plan for women to take over the world. hehe ;)

Well, I think much of it stems from the ancient Hellenistic concept of the Elysium Gardens.

Hey, I wish women would. As long as I don't have to wear any chains, or whatnot.
Still, since women's cycles tend to sync up, well, an entire Congress of women on PMS - the mind boggles. ;)

Maybe we need to come up with our own end-times scenario. No one is resurrected at the end though.

Women tend to sync when they live together.
But just in case, when we take over the gov't., we'll save our meetings in the war room for that one special week every month. Watch out! Ooh...and we'll elect a perimenopausal president! Bwa-hahahahaha!

Is that why muslims like to kill women so much? They're counteracting the take-over in population and staying off the end times?

I remember the guy that headed Iran (forgot his name) made a speech to the UN in which he heralded in the 'coming of the Messiah'.

Women outnumber men

Yay Polygamy. ^_^

& when they work together too, as I understand it.

Better that than a religious fanatic, I say.

Never thought of that before. Brrrhhh!

Oops, too late.

That is soooo true! I think men would be completely shocked to know how much self control us women have, ESPECIALLY durring that time of the month and menapaus. I know a couple weeks out of the month I want to rip someones face off for any little reason and when my mom started the "change" we were afraid to call her. We just never knew what kind of a mood she would be in. Luckily most women break down and cry before hurting anyone. It all works out in the end, no one usually gets hurt and men just walk around dazed and confused till they can recognise the women in their lives again. Give or take a little PTSD, but far less than what war can do. lol

Ra I think you are right about women working together, but they have to spend a lot of time in the same room or something like that. I cant remember exactly.

And give it another generation for women to take over, my daughters are still in training, but we have many recruits. :)

Women taking over the world reminds me of a Futurama episode when they came to a planet of only women, all men were sentenced to death by "snu-snu". Too funny!

There's the release that makes the gender so much more reasonable. Men tend to pop holes in the walls w/their fists, or other people.

Oh, hey, I used to work in this medical billing facility, it was just this huge 1 story, no cubicles, & the women-to-men ratio was about 50 to 1.
& they would get cranky EN MASSE.
I learned to keep my big yap shut, I tell ya.

I laughed pretty hard at that comment.

On another note, the reality of the "end times" is absolutely horrifying and there isnt anything any of us can do. The crazy end timers control our government and they are dead set on hastening Jesus return. And I think the most horrifying part of it all is that the majority of Americans believe in the end times and that the time is now. I've been reading some end time blogs and the christians are so excited about all the wars and are jumping for joy over it. Sick bastards!

They're a disconnected, disjointed bunch, that is certain.

Great post, RA. It's good to see an atheist who actually understands how dangerous this dude is...at the very least his rhetoric is dangerous...at most he may try to "fulfill the prophecy". All this end of the world stuff is quite disturbing to me and makes me so angry that religious extremists threaten to annihilate life on the only planet we know of that has life for some crazy superstitious bullcrap written in dusty old texts so long, long ago. I am exhausted trying to get some to see these aspects of Islam.

Words as weaponry...sometimes, the most dangerous of all.

I'm getting the impression these people need to be dragged kicking & screaming into the real world.
Whether they like it or not.

Are you so sure you truly understand the nature of this reality? The above statement is true, but it doesn't just apply to the religious. Human ignorance is a common state of being here. Will you also swallow the bitter pill of truth in order to help others out of their strong delusions?

Fatal Flaws in Judeo-Christian-Islamic Prophecy

Hello all,

Remember the saying that "the truth will set you (and others) free?" How does "opening one's eyes to the truth" relate to "making the blind see again" or "shining the light" or "illuminating a subject?" Notice the inherent symbolism associated with this supposed New Testament "miracle?"

Pay close attention, profundity knocks at the door, listen for the key. Be Aware! Scoffing causes blindness...

Here's the key to proving that the rapture and related expectations are complete nonsense based on the failure to understand (and the purposeful confounding of) the ancient Hebrew symbology used to construct all of these prophecies. Consequently, Christian timelines and interpretations of these prophecies are verifiably wrong on many key points.

Did you ever consider that Christianity is the False Prophet symbolized in the Apocalypse, that Rome (Vatican/Papacy) is the so-called anti-messiah, and Jesus Christ is the false messiah? I have produced stunning and comprehensive proof that this is the true interpretation of pivotal prophecies long confounded by Christianity's founders and leaders. Recasting the symbolism of earlier Hebrew texts as literal events in the New Testament is one of the central deceptions associated with Christianity.

The symbolism of seven years (tribulation, etc.) refers to seven 360-year cycles on the Hebrew calendar. Ezekiel 39.9 is referring to the 10th to 16th cycles inclusive, while the Apocalypse symbolizes the 11th cycle (second temple period) until now, the beginning of the 17th cycle (seventh angel/star/seal, etc.). Greece (Alexander the Great) conquered the Persian Empire and Judea during the 10th cycle and Rome did so again during the 11th cycle. Both Ezekiel and the Apocalypse are symbolizing an overlapping period of time that starts during ancient Judea and ends now. Gog refers to Greco-Romans (...from the "isles"), which means Magog is Eurasia and the "army" that besets "Israel" for seven "years" refers to the activities of the nations of the Greco-Roman/Vatican Empire over the previous two-plus millennia.

It is completely wrong to interpret any of these prophecies as literal timelines and events. Unlike Christian assertions, they symbolize long periods of time, pivotal situations, and the flow of activities during that period. Remember, they were written by ancient Hebrew sages, not Romans or other Europeans, and Revelation is the most symbolic of all prophecies. Consequently, in this context, "years" and "times" are symbols for 360-year cycles on the Hebrew calendar and days symbolize literal years. Therefore "Judgement Day," "Great Day" and "in that day" all refer to a literal year-long period. Accordingly, the so-called "Seven Years Tribulation" began in ancient Judea and is now nearing its end, not starting. The nations and followers of all three faiths of Abraham have been thoroughly deceived by Rome during the previous age, which ended in year 2000 (5760). A new age began in 2001 (5761) and now the seventh angel has begun to sound!

Which is why I'm an atheist. It was a bitter pill, to be sure.
Remember the saying that "the truth will set you (and others) free?" How does "opening one's eyes to the truth" relate to "making the blind see again" or "shining the light" or "illuminating a subject?" Notice the inherent symbolism associated with this supposed New Testament "miracle?"
I'm actually in tune w/my symbolic inner child, thanks.
Pay close attention, profundity knocks at the door, listen for the key. Be Aware! Scoffing causes blindness...
"In the kingdom of the blind, the 1-eyed man is king." Uh-oh, I can't see! I'm blind, I'm blinnnnddd....hehehehe.

Newsflash - ALL of it is wrong.
Did you ever consider that Christianity is the False Prophet symbolized in the Apocalypse, that Rome (Vatican/Papacy) is the so-called anti-messiah, and Jesus Christ is the false messiah?
Yes, I've actually heard all of this nonsense before.

I've scanned your blog, most of your literature.
W/all due respect, what a load of bollocks.
You mix & match freely, using confirmation bias mixed w/allegory to draw out your own retrofitted conclusions. You also claim to be the reincarnation of Notsir? So, you're heading up your own little cult, are you? Using an historicist theme & gnostic trappings, w/a liberal cherrypicking of Hebraic scripture & a little Kaballah thrown in for good measure?
That's some recipe for messiah stew you got going, but I'm not ordering that thing from the menu.

You're entire epistomology is drawn on positive presuppositionalism: the bible is wrong. It's a compendium of mythology from 1 iron-age tribe.
I might also suggest that you seek some therapy. & I say that not from mean-spiritedness, but from that I'm worried about your mental state. Seriously.

Peace.
