SCIENTOLOGY: OF CACOPHONY, CULTS, AND COGNITIVE DISSONANCE

Sure, it's a South Park clip. The funny part of this clip is that it actually portrays what scientologists believe. The sad part? The same thing.

Be forewarned: there's some footage in this next clip that is not for the weak of stomach, or the faint of heart.

This next one is less graphic, but not less shocking:

And people wonder why I have a problem with religion.
The scientologists have taken lives, ruined lives, squelched dissent or criticism, invaded the government no less, in short, these people are fucking nutjobs.

They need to be shouted down. They need to take their bloody religion, and keep it to themselves. We need to get up in their faces, and TELL them they're a quart low.

Because this is AMERICA, folks, and whoever squelches dissent ain't an American in my book. These little nutjobs go running to their lawyers at the drop of a bleedin' hat. Why? Because their 'belief system' holds no water.

You don't like people cwiticizing your wittwe wewigion? That's just tough shit.
Start your own country, or repeal the First Amendment.

Let's give the thetans some beatin's. Drop by their forums. Play the troll. Mock, slander, let's go AFTER these clowns. Marginalize, trivialize, brutalize.

I'm all for freedom to believe as you like, but this carte blanche crap is for the birds. What do I always say? NO FREE PASSES.

Only cowards go to lawyers when the facts speak for themselves: Res Ipsa Loquitor.

Now let's go clean some clocks, shall we?

Till the next post, then.

Hey there, Uncy.
Sorry I haven't been around lately.

As for your outburst against Scientology, I'm in total agreement...
though I'm not sure Scatology should be singled out as more damaging or money-mad than any other faith.
True, they're among the most dollar-devouring, but compared to the long run of the Vatican or the Protestant televangelists, they're still absolute beginners.
And, yes, the beliefs of Scientologists are indeed nuttier than a squirrels' droppings,
but what irks me,
is that people of other faiths,
in this case notably Christians,
laugh at the thought of aliens
educating man, yet have no problem swallowing the camel that says
a burning shrubbery did the same.
A former friend of mine, very critical of Scientology and their methods, saw no problem in
discrediting -their- bullshit,
yet no matter how hard I tried
I couldn't convince him to use
the same criteria in evaluating his own delusions.

Religion, of any kind, is an
addiction.
It's a bottomless hole
into which believers pour
their faith, money, hope, time
and efforts;
powers that would be infinetely more beneficial if directed at helping your fellow human beings.

Well said Michael S. Olsen!

Thank gawd for south park!;) Always there to make fun of stupid beliefs and show just how stupid they are. We need more common sense shows like that at primetime!

Hey there, Uncy.
Sorry I haven't been around lately.

Dude! Too long, m'man.
Many of your points are well taken. But these followers of 'Scatology' (damn, I luv that 1!) are by far TWICE as malignant & hostile than xtianity. They broke into IRS records, & they sue people for criticizing them in any way. They get away w/more BS than any other cult in the US. That SP clip? They weren't ALLOWED to air it. Not the 1st time, anyways.

They're malign thugs. Watched a clip yesterday, where a guy w/a camera wasn't allowed into a public Scatology festival, & these 3 mooks got up in his face, accusing him (by name) of all sorts of foul nonsense. Began following him around.

You're a Scatologist?
You're not an American. That's what I say.
They're a bunch of spoiled thugs & goddam lunatics.
I say, if enough voices speak against them, they can't sue EVERYBODY.

Last night on MSNBC the conservative christians were complaining about Rosie O'Donald because she said radical christianity was as bad as radical Islam. They say Rosie needs to opologize for such an incorrect statement. Well, I agree with Rosie! Some how christians have forgot that the KKK, Neo nazis, Tim MCvay and Hitler are/were all radical christians!

Christians are in such denial!

I think all religious zealots are paranoid psychos!

*POUT*
I haven't watched the videos, because I'm on a *sigh* dial-up connection.

But KA,
You're a Scatologist?
You're not an American. That's what I say.

That's like Daddy Bush saying atheists aren't American. Part of being American is the freedom to choose any belifs system, however stupid it may be.

Glad to see my Monkey Man back! :)

SNTC
I agree about Christian denial. Go Rosie O.

Sorry, doll.

I suppose it does sound that way. If you could see the videos, you'd understand my outrage. These people have cadres of lawyers that swarm over critics, & sue them for pointing out the idiocy of their cult. They're wrecking & taking lives. I consider them 1 of the biggest dangers yet to our society.
They want to believe? That's fine. They want to break every rule in the book?
NOT FINE.

KA
Well, I managed to stay connected long enough to load and watch the middle video. Pretty chilling. Moneybucks lawyers meet cloak and dagger lowlifes, it would seem. Definitely not a safe cult to be involved with.
I seriously doubt that any honchos in the hierarchy really believe the poop they peddle. They just reel the suckers in with it and then bankrupt and terrorize the poor people into submission.
I wonder if there are any support groups for Scientology escapees?

No telling on that 1. You're probably right on that.
I wonder if there are any support groups for Scientology escapees?
Oh, they're out there. Literally speaking, of course.
