…AND I’M BACK AGAIN

“Lord, I was born a ramblin' man
Trying to make a living and doing the best I can
When it's time for leaving, I hope you'll understand
That I was born a rambling man.” – The Allman Brothers.

So I was at work yesterday, the print ship where I proofed ballots had just finished up printing my county’s ballots in their entirety, when I got a call on the Nextel.

Turns out, there was some sort of problem with the databases (this was what I was told). I (and approximately twenty other people from my agency) was laid off. When I dropped off my Nextel, the place was empty but for the fellow waiting for me.

So your humble correspondent hath returned. When I may be called again, this deponent knoweth not. But I hope it shall be soon.

In the meantime, I’m all yours (in a matter of speaking).

You are having the worst luck with jobs.

"Election called on account of apathy"; the databases don't care where you live or if you vote, only if you're the right combination of 1's and 0's.

Sorry dude.

Hope they get the snafu fixed and you're back at it soon.

Hey, life is a series of ups & downs. I wasn't the only 1 impacted, so I'm not 'jinxed'. ;)

Well, there's more to it than that, I'm guessing.
They knew I was a computer guy, so I think the fella softened it up like that for me.
